Surrey alt-rock outfit You Me At Six are heading Down Under this September for a national tour alongside Sydney pop-punkers Tonight Alive. The bands will hit Aussie highways for a five-date run of shows, which kicks off Friday September 5 in Brisbane, trailing along the east coast, and coming to a halt in Adelaide six days later.

The tour comes in light of the release of You Me At Six¡¯s fourth album, Cavalier Youth, which debuted at #1 in the UK album charts and earned the Brit boys the title of ¡®Best British Band¡¯ at this year¡¯s Kerrang Awards.

The quintet was in the country earlier this year, supporting pop rock heavyweights Paramore, as they slashed and thrashed their way across Australia. However, this time around, they have a slew of new tracks and an energetic live show to unleash unto the sweaty sea of waving arms and swaying bodies.

¡°As soon as we came back from the last time we were there, in January, we straight away said, ¡®Let¡¯s think about another tour,¡¯¡± YMA6 drummer, Dan Flint told Music Feeds.

He added: ¡°It¡¯s taken us a little while with our schedule but we¡¯ve managed to figure it out. Hopefully it¡¯s going to be cool. Every time we¡¯ve been to Australia it¡¯s been absolutely amazing, so I don¡¯t see why it wouldn¡¯t be another amazing tour.¡±

Tonight Alive, who were just a couple of Sydney¡¯s teenagers playing in their parent¡¯s garages six years ago, are now one of Australia¡¯s finest exports. They will return home fresh off the back of the release of their highly successful sophomore album, The Other Side.

The band recently burst into global consciousness when their electric single, ¡®The Edge¡¯, featured on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. Adorable front-woman, and everyone¡¯s sweetheart, Jenna McDougall couldn¡¯t contain her excitement.

¡°Coming home to tour in Aus is always long overdue¡± said McDougall. ¡°We¡¯ve looked forward to announcing these dates with long-time friends You Me At Six for months!¡±

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday June 27 (yes, that¡¯s this coming Friday), so be sure to get you hands on one as Soundwave Touring have confirmed there will be no other dates added. Check below for further date, venue, and ticket information.
