The story of how 50 Cent survived the streets of South Jamaica, Queens, and took nine bullets on his way to becoming one of the most successful hip hop artists of all time is by the now the stuff of legend. With record sales in excess of 36 million copies worldwide, and an unprecedented amount of awards including a Grammy, 50 Cent is undoubtedly one of the most sought after rappers in history. He is also a phenomenal businessman with various interests in books, films, fragrances, sports drinks, video games and sneakers. His trademark mix of wit and ferocious swagger has seen 50 release 4 successful albums ¨C ¡°Get Rich Or Die Tryin¡± in 2003 which featured his massive debut single ¡°In Da Club¡±, ¡°The Massacre¡± in 2005, ¡°Curtis¡± in 2007, and ¡°Before I Self Destruct¡± in 2009. With 8 Top 20 singles in Australia including ¡°Ayo Technology¡±, ¡°P.I.M.P¡±, ¡°Outta Control¡±, and ¡°Window Shopper¡±, 50 Cent¡¯s performance at Winterbeatz will feature hit after hit. Joining 50 Cent on stage are G-Unit featuring Lloyd Banks, a successful solo star in his own right, and Tony Yayo.
Fabolous is one of those rare artists that has managed to stay relevant as part of the hip hop dialogue for over a decade. He¡¯s also one of the few to be able to command commercial appeal and street dignity simultaneously. And while most rappers spend more and more time convincing the masses of their ¡°hustle¡±, Fab lets his work speak for his effort. With two platinum albums (2001¡¯s Ghetto Fabolous and 2003¡¯s Street Dreams) and one Gold (2004¡¯s Real Talk) to his credit, the veteran hitmaker still exudes a rookie-of-the-year swagger. Beginning his career in 1998, Fab was invited to rap for mixtape king DJ Clue live on air on his Hot 97 show. His now legendary rhyme exchange with Noreaga got Clue¡¯s attention, who went onto sign him to his label Desert Storm. His first release Ghetto Fabolous garnered critical acclaim and the mainstream media picked up on it instantly calling him ¡°THE rapper to watch¡±. He followed this up with ¡°Street Dreams¡± in 2003 featuring the hits ¡°Can¡¯t Let You Go¡± and ¡°Into You¡±, and then the album ¡°Real Talk¡± in 2004 featuring the successful singles ¡°Breathe¡± and ¡°Baby¡±. Album number four ¡°From Nothin¡¯ to Somethin¡¯¡± was released in 2007 debuting at #1 on the Billboard chart and featured the smash hits ¡°Make Me Better¡± featuring Ne-Yo, and ¡°Baby Don¡¯t Go¡± featuring Jermaine Dupri and T-Pain. 2009 saw the release of ¡°Loso¡¯s Way¡± which debuted at #1 and featured the hit single ¡°Throw It In The Bag¡±. Fabolous is currently working on his next album and recently released an EP entitled ¡°There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP¡±.
Beginning her career with Junior M.A.F.I.A in 1995, Lil¡¯ Kim has a storied legacy. She has paved the way, broke barriers and set trends as the Queen Bee of hip hop. Backed by the Notorious B.I.G., Lil Kim ushered in a more sexually provocative rap style in the mid 90¡¯s and her debut solo album ¡°Hardcore¡±, firmly cemented the Hip-Hop harlot¡¯s name in the history books. As the album titled implied, Kim was a rarity among female rappers but her album proved that she was no novelty with strong sales and positive reviews. While her career was blossoming, her life was shattered when her father figure Biggie was murdered in 1997. After taking a hiatus from recording her own music, she returned strong in 2000 with her long awaited sophomore album ¡°The Notorious K.I.M¡± which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts. Kim solidified her star power in 2001, when ¡°Lady Marmalade¡±, a song Kim featured on with Christina Aguelira, Pink and Mya went to #1 on the Billboard Charts, earned her a Grammy, and became one of the biggest selling songs worldwide that year. She followed this up with ¡°La Bella Mafia¡± in 2003, which also went platinum, making her the only female rapper besides Missy Elliot to have 3 certified platinum albums. ¡°The Naked Truth¡± was released in 2005, plus mixtapes ¡°Ms G.O.A.T¡± and ¡°Black Friday¡±. Kim has also appeared in various movies, and as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars.
Mario is a highly successful and talented entertainer who achieved greatness from the young age of 15 years old. Famous for his amazing voice, the 25-year-old American R&B singer/songwriter from Baltimore is well known as an accomplished actor, model, dancer and philanthropist. His first release in 2002 ¡°Just A Friend¡± ranked #4 in the American charts, but it was his massive hit ¡°Let Me Love You¡± that catapulted the singer into worldwide success topping the charts from the UK through to Australia. Peaking at #1 on the Billboard Charts for an astonishing nine consecutive weeks, the song was critiqued by reviewers as ¡°reminiscent of Michael Jackson¡¯s vintage romantic ballads¡± and won the Billboard Award for R&B/Hip Hop single of the year in 2005. Mario has continued to release successful singles over the years including ¡°How Do I Breathe¡±, ¡°Stuttering¡±, ¡°Break Up¡± and ¡°Crying Out For Me¡±, and has honed his acting skills starring in films such as ¡°Step Up¡± and ¡°Freedom Writers¡± alongside Academy Award Winner Hilary Swank.
